Frequently Asked Questions
What do you charge for Coaching?
Everything I do is customized to meet your needs. There is no “one size fits all” approach to coaching. I work with you to understand your needs, and I develop a proposed fee structure. Why do you want to work with a coach? What are your goals? How frequently do you want to meet?
The better question is, what is your return on investment?
What I don’t do is require you to work with me for a specific period. Coaching is a relationship, and you should only be in any relationship for as long as it’s working for you (and me). Coaching has a shelf life. There will come a time when I am no longer the right coach for you, or we have achieved our goals. And that is okay!
What do workshops cost?
That depends. My workshops and development programs range from 90 minutes to 2 or 3 days! Every workshop is interactive. I am not a talking head. I will work with you to understand your team, company, or association goals. What do you want participants to learn? What do we want to do to ensure they leave the session and put new ideas into action?
Then I will send you a customized and detailed program outline. We are aligned on content and deliverables well before the program date. I prepare all accompanying workshop materials. And we have fun!
what types of special projects have you done?
Let me highlight a few projects for you:
I partnered with an engineering services firm to engage in organizational design. We restructured the organization to enable them to scale and achieve their 2030 vision, to grow from a $50 million to a $100 million organization.
I am an executive coach to the CEO of a $200+ million business. I travel with the executive leadership team a couple of times a year to conduct professional development workshops, group coaching, and facilitate annual goal setting.
I custom designed an in-person, 3-hour workshop for an all-hands, in-person company leadership conference. Following the conference, I conducted two additional virtual workshops. I then facilitated six month of group coaching sessions to foster collaboration and instill the application of the content.
Because of my background, I am a trusted external resource for sensitive corporate matters. I have conducted dozens of workplace investigations into allegations of misconduct involving the senior-most company leaders.
I conducted numerous assessments of teams and functions, with deliverables that included ways to drive efficiency, proposed function restructures, development plans, technology changes, and more. I’m an unbiased outsider who can take your company’s or team’s temperature and know how to strengthen your most important resource: your people.
What makes you different from other consultants and coaches?
You have a lot of options, and I encourage you to do your research. I may or may not be the right partner for you, and I’m picky about who I choose to invest my time in as well. We need to be aligned, we need to understand our work, and we need to trust each other.
I know people. I see the forest through the trees. I have worked with a wide range of industries from the time I first became an attorney over 20 years ago. I can see risk a mile away, yet I understand the practical decisions leaders need to make to run their businesses.
If you want someone to help you dive deep into your financials, I’m not the right coach for you. I can tell you that my clients spend the vast majority of their time trying to solve for some type of people problem or opportunity. It might start out as a core business issue, and when we dig deep, we learn that people are always at the core of solving it.
